Ease of arrival/welcome

Basic but as described.

When we arrived the sloping field of long wet grass defeated my car, the owners did offer a tractor, but couldn't get it through the gate as my 'van was stuck in the mud. Other 'vanners helped us push the 'van up to the pitch OK. Sloping, as described, blocks needed. The single toilet was rustic, but clean. Owners were available, but inobtrusive. Traffic was constant most of the day, but not too noisy due to good hedgerow. The walk into Pickering is on pavement by a busy road. Lots to see and do in Pickering and surrounding towns. I did think that £14 a night was'nt a fair price, it was more than billed in the handbook. I know that that's only a guide, but had I known it was £14, I might have gone to one of the several other sites locally.
