When's the next time?

Smashing. Peace, quiet, ease and welcoming simplicity of Ownership. On site water feature plus a local area of Art, Culture and Charm: plus the most enjoyable Pebmarsh pub 1.5ml stroll down the lane. Thank you. When's the next time? David and Joyce York

Very Nice Site

Spent 3 nights here in September and really enjoyed our stay. Everything you need from a CL, reasonably quiet, just a little road noise, but nothing to disturbing. The three pitches nearest the lake are really lovely and we were fortunate enough to be on one of them. Nothing wrong with the other two, just they back onto a car park, but a very quiet car park. Nice walking and cycling in the area. The pub in Wickham St. Paul is pricey for beer, so we cycled to Pebmarsh where the beer was just as good and considerably cheaper - remember we are from Lancashire!!!!

Jane and Steve Acres The Paddock 6-9 July 2020

A peaceful and pretty site. Good access to water and EHU. Nothing was too much trouble for Jason. We really enjoyed our stay, particularly as the purpose of the visit was to visit family after the lockdown. I would thoroughly recommend this site as a base to discover this lovely area!

Great site

We stayed at this site with our 2 dogs over the August bank holiday weekend. Lots to do in the local area. Just search online for things to do. Halstead is a short drive away. Site is secure. Highly recommended. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

What a Gem

Just returned home from a four day visit to The Paddocks. What a wonderful experience it has been. As previous reviews have stated it is a us a gem of a site. Great views on an emacalate kept grass pitch's with EHU yet set informally with plenty of space. Jason is the most welcoming host you could meet and nothing was to much trouble and always contactable if needed. Together with Sophie they run a great stable and showjumping establishment. One highlight of the day is to see their talanted son collect one of the horses from the Paddock and ride it bareback to the stable. Set on the Suffolk and Essex border there are to many attractions locally to mention here but you will find sufficient to do whatever your taste. Liked it so much I will return with other Caravanning friends but with all the excellent reviews the Paddocks are getting I guess we will have to book early to find a spare pitches. Well done Jason and Sophie in only your 2nd year of cl ownership. You have got it spot on

Stunning CL - Highly Recommend

We decided to stay a few extra days after attending North Essex Centres Pre Season Dinner at nearby Chelmsford, scanning the sites handbook we came across ‘The Paddock’ a quick telephone call revealed that spaces were available and we arrived an hour or so later at this beautiful location with a stunning lake in direct view of our pitch. The site owners were very welcoming and friendly, we felt very secure with coded entry into the site. Jason’s recommendations on local eateries were spot on, we can highly recommend‘The Cod Father’ in nearby Sudbury, Suffolk’s best fish and chip shop. We opted to eat in, the service was second to none and prices very reasonable. We walked our dogs daily around the lake and enjoyed chats with locals fishing. We can highly recommended this CL and will be returning next time we are in the area. Darren & Cheryll Caravaners, Kent

Beautiful CL

Don’t miss an opportunity to stay here, such an idyllic setting. Really friendly owners who couldn’t do enough to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Great views looking over the lake and fields of horses. If you do fancy a ride, there’s a horse riding school just up the road. This isn’t our first stay here and it definitely won’t be the last!
