An immaculate, exceptional site with guaranteed tranquility

The Pondarosa was one of the best sites we have ever stayed on (and we live in Scotland!) but we don't need toilets and showers. There are five sites in around an acre so there is plenty of space and privacy. The hardstandings and lawn in between are immaculately tidy (great for playing boule/petanque) and the grass cuttings are taken away so there's no walking them in to your caravan. The electric is right by your pitch. Perfect for dog lovers as there is a beautiful walk opposite into bluebell coppiced woods. Short walk into Catsfield takes you to the pub serving great ale and Monday's is curry night. I cannot recommend this site enough, an oasis of calm.

rural peace

beautiful CL, roomy - 5 outfits were there but no crowding at all. The filling amd emptying points were fine but no obvious place for motorhome grey water - but I didn't ask my host - I just took it home. Plenty of hard standing for motorhomes but levelling blocks needed. Close to many points of interest. I could not have walked to the village - I am sure some fitter people could. All in all, a delight and I will be back PS - the pictures do not do it justice - much nicer than that!

Lovely site

Beautiful site in great surroundings. You will need levellers. Very clean and tidy. Easy to access with an 8ft wide van with twin axle. Great location for Battle and abbey. Would definitely return.

Our stay at the pondarosa

we had just had a lovely 4 nights stay here at the pondarosa and it was absolutely amazing it is so peaceful and quiet it was the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time. You have very lovely scenery to look at too i cannot say enough good thinks about this site and the owners were very friendly and very welcoming Battle Town is a very easy drive away plus there is a very nice pub at Catsfield too , I will definitely be using this site again when I next visit battle. The only thing I would recommend is that you pick your entrance into the site as if you come in from the right its a bit narrow down some of the lanes so I would make sure you come in from the left, it is the longer way round but definitely the easier route in as the road is slightly wider for a caravan Karen warner

Our perfect Lockdown Breakaway!

We have just returned from a lovely 10 days at Pondarosa, and would have stayed longer if they'd had space! Both being over 70, we'd been pretty much locked down for 4 months, and were very nervous about going away. Pondarosa was ideal. A large field, with lovely views, horses (and Denzil the donkey!) in adjoining field to keep us well entertained. The access was good - once we'd worked out that there was a brand new road system from the A21 which wasn't on our map or sat-nav! But it was all well signed. The site's facilities were extremely clean and well looked after and the owners were very friendly and helpful when needed. TV and phone reception excellent. Bexhill itself felt very safe, with plenty of free parking along the front. A day exploring in the Weald (inc. Bewl Water) was most enjoyable as were afternoons at Rye Harbour and Pevensey Castle. Other than that Pondarosa was an ideal home from home "bubble" for two not-quite-so-nervous travellers any more.

Everything you want from a CL

Stayed 9/11/19 This is a lovely peaceful CL site. We stayed for the weekend, although we had wet weather, access is easy and there are large hardstanding pitches. Lovely countryside views , horses come to say hello in the next field, we saw pheasants and fell asleep listening to the owls. The owners are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. There is a nice pub/restaurant within walking distance and there is lots to do in the area, Bexhill and Battle well worth a visit. A great all year round site and we'll definitely be visiting again.

Everything it says on the Tin!

Superb, got the compass out to establish where the sun comes up and goes down, the forecast for the week was very good. Once pitched we met out Horse neighbours and fellow Caravan Club members.. it was a little blowy so we decided not to put canopy up until the next day, TIME TO CHILL ... This site is immaculate, only in its second year, the water and disposal points are Club Site standard TV reception is great and 4g excellent too. The site is mainly grass but does have plenty of hard standing, the owners very personable... Sunday afternoon the weekenders went and we had the site to ourselves and the weather broke all records and didn’t break until Friday Great CL well done

A wonderful find

This immaculate site is well run by a lovely family. Booked for a week but stayed for two. Stunning views of the countryside surrounded by horses and not forgetting Denzil, the donkey! Visited lots of places, many National Trust. Would not hesitate to return to this site again.

Well kept family run site

We have stayed on this site several times now and will always return. Well kept site by the very friendly and helpful family owners. Grass and hard standing pitches make it ideal all year. The views are outstanding with horses in the surrounding fields We uses lot of CL sites and this is one of the best
