Stunning views in the Peaks

Booked fairly last minute and we were exceptionally pleased with our choice. A large site, with a mixture of grass and woodland, free to pitch anywhere. Site is quite uneven and slopes in places but easy to find a suitable level pitch away from other vans. Owner arrived promptly and gave a very warm welcome and lots of useful ideas. Local pubs are very good- Anchor Inn for pub grub and the Blind Bull if you have deeper pockets! Lots of good walks from the site- and the wonderful listed Tideswell Rake lead mine runs alongside the site. A great basic CL, with plenty of extra information on a notice board by the water point - the Elsan point is at the top of the field and very easy to use, being raised off the ground. We had a superbly relaxing time and will be back soon- and can see why it is so popular, with people coming back time and time again.
