Ideal for a one-night stopover

Ideally situated midway between the Kyle of Lochalsh and Inverness, this CL was just what we needed after several days of off-grid motorhoming on the Isle of Skye. When we rang up the owner asked us the length of our outfit, which is 7m. We obviously had no problem fitting on the site - but anything larger may struggle. Anyway, we were able to recharge our bike batteries and empty our grey/black waste and take on water. The ehu allocated to our pitch was out of order - so we had to plug in via a 3 way extension to the pitch next door. The owner told me that the electrician was to be coming out in October to repair it. As others have mentioned - there was no phone signal. We were able to pick up radio reception in the morning - we had given up on the journey there - we just couldn't pick up a decent signal. Once on the road again the reception didn't last for long. We don't have a tv in our motorhome so I can't comment on tv reception. I agree with others - the "site" is a grass strip adjacent to the cottage - and a through road runs in front of it linking the small number of houses with the main road - on saying that the main road was not overly busy at night so we had a quiet night. I doubt very much there would be enough room for an awning between each pitch - it was quite tight. We weren't affected by midges - I suppose it is coming to the end of midge season. As mentioned we just used it as a stop-over site to Inverness - I am not sure whether it is suited for a longer stay - I suppose it depends on your holiday requirements.
