ONE OF THE BEST

I hesitate to add to the accolades already earned by this site as this might diminish our chances of returning due to its popularity. Caroline & Muttley make every effort to make your stay a memorable experience and their plans promise the site can only get better. It is a flat spacious site with great views of the farm and hills in the distance. Although the railway runs nearby it is in a valley and by no means intrusive. The farm road runs along the side of the site, but again, whilst busy is not intrusive. Take care when entering and leaving the site in case you meet a tractor or farm visitors. New visitors should note that the post code covers a wide area, and if using satnav, it may lead you to turn prematurely. The following co-ordinates took us directly onto site: 51.35101, -1.731007. Fresh farm eggs are readily available and very reasonably priced. Look out for the flock of guinea fowl that roam freely and regularly graze in the field opposite, but no eggs. The farm borders the Kennet & Avon Canal, where there are many walks and cycle routes along the canal. Nearby towns include Pewsey, Marlborough, Hungerford, Devizes and mystical Avebury. Head to Alton Priors for coffee or lunch at Honeystreet situated alongside the canal and watch the barges passing by.
