What a terrific 5 nights we've just had at Toynes House CL. Bruce was very helpful and efficient during the booking advising on whether we could get in and was present on our arrival helping us choose where to pitch and explain all the CL details. After that he was on hand if required but not at all intrusive. Very interesting summary of the history of Toynes House and the CL in the 'Summer House' on site with lots of other useful info (bus times/walks/useful nos etc). Huge amount to do in the area, we golf and played Carlyon Bay (awesome), Porthpean (good vfm) and Lanhydroc (beautiful). Explored Fowey, Charlestown and Mevagissey and visited Lanhydroc House (NT) and had a day at Polridmouth Cove (NT). The site is spacious (full when we were there and lots of room between pitches), the road much quieter than I expected being the main road in and out of Fowey and seemed empty at night. Entrance a bit cheeky with our UK Fifth Wheel and the only very minor criticism I have is that Bruce could trim some of the bushes on the entrance/exit as we had to force our mirrors through them to get in/out. Very quiet and dark at night and we'll definitely be back next time we are in this area as much left to explore.
