A great stay, slightly extended!

We had a lovely stay at Tudor springs, welcomed by Lesley and Philip soon after our arrival. A great view of the railway and chickens and horses in the field next door, which our little one loved! The pitches are a generous size with plenty of room for an awning and parking and still room to spare, although we didn’t use and awning as it was very windy.. because of this we also ended up staying and extra couple of nights, which was no problem at all! Great location for Cottingham, Beverley, Hull and surrounding areas. Thanks for having us stay!

relaxing stay near Hull

Stayed for three nights earlier this month. Site is easy to find and easy to access. Owner was out when we arrived but our name & pitch number was on the board, so able to pitch and settle in. We have absolutely no issue with this - CL owners are not full time wardens. Owner greeted us later in the day with a useful leaflet about facilities in the immediate area. The pictures on the Club site are an accurate representation - except that the hedges are more developed. The site is flat although some pitches are not completely level and might need leveling blocks. Note that the electricity is 10amps - probably not a problem except in winter. Surrounding countryside is fields and woodland. The railway is quite close so you hear trains roughly twice an hour - but not overnight. Convenient for Hull, Beverley and surrounding area. We took the train from Cottingham into Beverley. Parked the motorhome at the station - main carpark has quite a steep slope down which might not be good for longer vehicles with an overhang. We would visit again if in the area.

Fantastic site

What can I say, we have just stayed here for another week. We were lucky enough to find this site a few years ago and regularly return as it is an absolute gem. All pitches are hard standings with plenty of space around each. It is peaceful and the renowned flapjacks are delicious. Lesley and her husband are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We visited Hull, Bridlington, Cottingham village, Withernsea, Hornsea all within easy reach. Our outfit is 34ft long and we tow a small car but the entrance is very wide and access is no problem. We were left to relax and enjoy our stay and will definitely be back next year.

lovely welcome

As mentioned the flapjacks added to our welcome which was very warm and told us everything we needed to know. The owner has a file stuffed full of local information. If it's beautiful surroundings you want then this is not the site for you as the adjacent caravan storage business gives it a rather industrial feel, however, it is quiet, all level hardstanding, easy access and a drain for motorhome grey water. For train or bus it is a good half hour walk into Cottingham which is an interesting village. The site is well placed to access surrounding attractions and as it is still quite new I am sure when the planting has matured it will have a more attractive appearance

Our First Visit to Hull

We looked for a site close to Hull for our first visit and since it was February, with hard standing and hook up. Tudor Springs is very well situated within a 20 minute walk of the railway station at Cottingham, one stop to Hull. You can also go to Beverley and Bridlington in the other direction from Hull. Cottingham itself is also worth spending some time lookiing around. The owner was away when we arrived, but arranged everything for us and it was just as she had explained, down to the welcome flapjacks- a lovely personal touch. the site was easily accessible, very well presented and with ample space and a very good access. This CL is just what CL's should be, we were free to enjoy our stay with all the facilities that the site mentions. It was very quiet, although full, as the pitches are well spaced and we all got on with enjoying our holiday. I would definitely recommend and return to this CL. You need more than two days and nights to see and enjoy the best of Hull, so we must return, perhaps not whilst storm Doris is in the area. However given the torrential rain and winds, it does show how well draimed and laid out the site is as there was not even surface water evident! Thank you to the owners for their hospitality.

Warm Welcome

Just returned from a lovely 4 day break at this CL. Lovely warm welcome received along with home made flapjack, thank you Lesley. We were staying here as we wanted to spend some time at the coast as well as visit Hull as it is the City of Culture this year. The location of this CL was ideal for this, being situated a short distance from Hull and also near the main routes to the coast. The hard standing pitch was welcome but we had glorious weather all the time we were here so was not strictly necessary on this occasion. My daughter joined us and stayed for a couple of nights. We were not charged any extra and we even had an extra piece of flapjack delivered for her, which was very nice of Lesley to do this. There was a bit of noise from the nearby train line but not enough for it to bother us and they do stop at night. Spent a lovely day in Hull. The old town is very interesting, as was the Street Life Museum (free). Also had a wander around the vibrant old Fruit Market area and the Marina. It was lovely to see people sitting outside cafe and bars in the glorious warm sunshine in February. We will quite happily return to this CL in the future.

Perfect for visiting Hull - UK City of Culture 2017

As mentioned by other reviewers, the owners provide a lovely welcome (with cake), and lots of information and advice. An easy walk down to the train station, and then you are at Hull in about 20 mins. A nice quiet site, well maintained.

GOOD FIND!!!!

This site isn't yet in the Sites Directory but glad we found it on-line. The owners are extremely friendly and we were made very welcome. Easy walking distance of Cottingham village and a short drive into both Beverley and Hull. Lesley's flapjack given to us on arrival was delicious and the Happy Hen eggs were very tasty. We will definitely be visiting again.

Wonderful Welcome

We stayed for two nights. The site is new, the pitches are hard standing with plenty of space and a grass area to each pitch. For motorhomes you can "drop" your grey water easily. (generally not available on CLs). Cottingham is just over a mile away and has all the facilities that you require from pubs, petrol station to takeaways and restaurants etc. The site is ideally located for Hull, the ferry, Beverley and the surrounding areas. We could not have been made more welcome and we will be returning. Thank you Lesley. The cakes were great!

Great Easter Break

Prompt response to enquiry re availability. Site easy to access.  Pleasant greeting by owners including lovely homemade flapjack on arrival.  Information folder available of local places of interest.  Ideal location to visit students at Hull Uni.  Will be interesting to see how site develops when plants & shrubs grow.  We'll be back.
