Why stay here ...

Tudor Springs Certificated location is a member owned tranquil site in East Yorkshire. It is set on the outskirts of Cottingham, said to be one of the largest villages in England.

Adults, children and pets are welcome. The site itself is located in 1 acre, set up to take caravans, motor homes and awnings all year round. All of our pitches have an area of grass and an area of hard standing. Steel awning pegs are recommended.

The site is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area including Hull (City of Culture 2017) with its many museums (free), The Deep - one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world (admission charge), the Marina and further up the beautiful East Yorkshire Nature Coast with its Country Houses, beaches, lighthouses, RSPB Reserve at Bempton Cliffs all topped off with deliciously fresh fish and chips! The Humber Bridge, one of the world's longest single suspension bridges, is within a twenty minute drive and the gateway to the south bank and Lincolnshire.

A footpath with street lights takes you from the site to Cottingham village with its small weekly market on Thursdays, local shops family friendly pubs serving excellent cask ales and home cooked food, all approximately 1.5 miles from the site. Public footpaths available nearby for dog walks and walking or cycling into Beverley.

Within 2.5 miles, there is a cinema, bowling alley, shopping complex, restaurants and large supermarket.

Accessible by car, train or bus, the historic town of Beverley is 6 miles away, with the Minster, St Mary’s Church, the North Bar and weekly markets on Saturdays and a smaller one on Wednesdays.

The site is ideally located for visiting students at Hull University, stopovers for P & O North Sea ferry crossings or stay a bit longer and explore the area.

A good location geographically to visit Hull

We stayed a couple of nights in order to visit our daughter in Hull. Sadly, we found the site quite scruffy. It was covered in weeds, there was an old run down portocabin that made up our view and behind us, directly over the hedge is a large caravan storage facility. There is one tap and a bathroom toilet that stands outside, behind a gate that is the disposal point. Looks weird but does the job. Also, its close to a railway line which starts running early in the morning and a huge ugly power station that hums all through the night. Bit of a pong too. Didn't see any sign of the owner for the whole weekend but that was fine. We walked for 45 mins and never made it into the village, so its not very close and not a pretty walk. If, like us, you use it as somewhere to sleep whilst visiting family, its fine, but it is certainly not a beauty spot.

Great base

This little site was very easy to book as the owners are very quick and responsive to emails. The site is a great base to stay and has all you need there, and it's only about 20 minutes from Beverly, which is a great place to visit. This site has been listed as tranquil - we didn't really find it tranquil here. There was a low emitting hum from the power station and power lines very closely and noticed it more in the evening (we thought it was our water pump), and also trains passing frequently from about 6.15 in the morning until gone 9 at night. There isn't really a scenic view. It's of a power station, huge pylons, a big storage shed and tatty porta cabin. If you're ited across from where we were sited, you would have a field with horses at the back of you which I imagine would be quite nice. When we arrived our name was on the entrance gate stating which plot we was on and the owner came to see us briefly to explain where to empty our bins etc. The storage facility there for caravans looked well secured. Overall, like I've previously mentioned, a great base for visiting Hornsea, Scarborough and other east coast seaside towns.

A great stay, slightly extended!

We had a lovely stay at Tudor springs, welcomed by Lesley and Philip soon after our arrival. A great view of the railway and chickens and horses in the field next door, which our little one loved! The pitches are a generous size with plenty of room for an awning and parking and still room to spare, although we didn’t use and awning as it was very windy.. because of this we also ended up staying and extra couple of nights, which was no problem at all! Great location for Cottingham, Beverley, Hull and surrounding areas. Thanks for having us stay!

relaxing stay near Hull

Stayed for three nights earlier this month. Site is easy to find and easy to access. Owner was out when we arrived but our name & pitch number was on the board, so able to pitch and settle in. We have absolutely no issue with this - CL owners are not full time wardens. Owner greeted us later in the day with a useful leaflet about facilities in the immediate area. The pictures on the Club site are an accurate representation - except that the hedges are more developed. The site is flat although some pitches are not completely level and might need leveling blocks. Note that the electricity is 10amps - probably not a problem except in winter. Surrounding countryside is fields and woodland. The railway is quite close so you hear trains roughly twice an hour - but not overnight. Convenient for Hull, Beverley and surrounding area. We took the train from Cottingham into Beverley. Parked the motorhome at the station - main carpark has quite a steep slope down which might not be good for longer vehicles with an overhang. We would visit again if in the area.

Fantastic site

What can I say, we have just stayed here for another week. We were lucky enough to find this site a few years ago and regularly return as it is an absolute gem. All pitches are hard standings with plenty of space around each. It is peaceful and the renowned flapjacks are delicious. Lesley and her husband are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We visited Hull, Bridlington, Cottingham village, Withernsea, Hornsea all within easy reach. Our outfit is 34ft long and we tow a small car but the entrance is very wide and access is no problem. We were left to relax and enjoy our stay and will definitely be back next year.
