Wonderful Weekend

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at this fantastic CL. My wife and I are quite new to caravaning and are just getting into going away with our 9 year old son. If every site were as amenable, warm and welcoming as this then I believe even more families would do the same. We had a very warm welcome upon arrival with a quick run down of the site. We were then left in peace to sort ourselves out. The site is quite compact but no less fantastic for this. As the entire caravan area is covered with stone clippings there was no worry of dragging mud inside and made setting up lovely and easy for us novices. Each pitch is clearly marked out and has the huge bonus of having its own water and drainage in addition to EHU. This made life much easier for our son as he did not have to assist in getting the water. This allowed him time to go and play with the owners lovely daughters who made him very welcome. The peace and tranquility of the site were exactly what we wanted. Being only a few miles from Skegness or Ingoldmels it is ideally placed for visits to the seaside and all that brings with it whilst being remote enough to allow a lovely chilled out time. The small toilet/shower block was well kept and fully adequate for those requiring to make use of the facilities. We never bothered as we were quite keen to try out the onboard shower, especially with a mains water hookup on the pitch.  The only downside, if you really had to push for one, is that the access roads to the site are a little narrow. Although this was the case we never had any issues as they are very quiet, frequented more by a lady walking her dogs rather than any other cars. Without doubt we would recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful break close to the Lincolnshire coast. My son has already asked when we are going back and we have only been home for a couple of hours. I think that we will more than happily make this a regular site for us.

Got to be 5 star for this haven

This site is a great location to facilitate a visit to Lincoln, Boston, Mablethorpe and Skegness. The site is all hard standing but is enhanced by a service point for each pitch, nice number! It is very peaceful and the mornings are a joy with the sound of the dawn chorus, lovely (April 15) sound. Access is some 1 mile from the main road and the shower is a block standing alone and caters for disabled another nice touch. The surroundings are the Lincoln Wolds, can't wait for better and in the distance you can see the fun fair ride at fantasy land. The weather was really kind to us which enhanced the surroundings, great site a credit to the owners would recommend if wanting the hustle and bustle of skegness but far enough away to wind down. Fulfilled all the criteria has to be a 5 thanks for stay.

FIRST TIME ON A CL

I agree with all the other comments. This was both the first time on a CL and the first long(ish) trip with our van. The site is small but has the facilities you would expect. It is quiet and easy to get to. Security is good as the gate onto the site is locked at night but you are given a remote control gadget to open it when you book in. I know this is the first CL we have been to but I would recommend it to everyone.

Lovely site - already re-booked!!

Only second time on a CL - pleasantly surprised. Access was nice and easy, not hounded by site owners, just allowed to arrive and pitch up. Electric and water easily accessible.  Small but well equipped toilet/shower block.  Nicely located amongst a copse of trees so provides good shade. Nicely out of the way for peaceful days and nights, but close enough to surrounding towns for days out and shopping. The only downfall on our visit was the fields had just been ploughed therefore not conducive with dog walking.  Apart from that like I way have already booked for another visit later in the year.

Great CL

I do not want to big this site up too much in case it's booked up when I want to  visit again. The site is situated 0.9 miles from the main road to Ingoldmels,  set amongst field upon field of arable fields, on arrival my initial thoughts  were its a working farm (due to seeing a tractor in the yard) but, it is not a  farm and although there is a agricultural buildings business run from here it  doesn't impact on the peace and tranquility of the site. If you don't like what  the countryside has to offer then don't go here. Our stay consisted of 6 nights  towards the end of September and saw deer entering the small wooded area where  the site is situated, also the barn owl, rabbits, lots of badger evidence and  nearly all the countryside birds visited the bird feeder situated on site. We  also heard shotguns, tractors, cows in the distance and the odd jet overhead,  but they didn't faze us as these things are expected in the Lincolnshire  countryside. The site itself has 5 well proportioned pitches and a large  disabled friendly toilet/shower room, with recycling facilities to the side and  chemical waste to the rear. Each pitch has its own water and drain. It is  surrounded by small trees and shrubs, with a grassed area to the rear. The whole  site is hard standing and slightly sloping so no worries about flooding or mud  on site. The owners Sarah & Kevin own the fields that immediately surround the  site so walking the dog wasn't a problem. Sarah & Kevin are a friendly couple  and being caravanner's themselves have gone beyond the basic needs that  caravanner's require.  Our main shop was done at morrisons in Skegness less than  20 minutes away, then we topped up at tesco express in Ingoldmels less than 10  minutes away, there are some village shops and pubs closer but what we was after  was Peace and tranquility around the site and we certainly found it here, Yet  the site is in a position close enough to the hustle & bustle of Ingoldmels if  you want a very short trip out. This is a site we will definitely be returning  to. Car boots are in abundance around here a large one on Tuesdays and Sundays  is situated 5 minutes away on the main road towards Ingoldmels.

Excellent CL - Add it to your list!

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Twit Twoos and can honestly say it is the best CL we have ever stayed at for many reasons. The pitches all hard standing with mains water per pitch, location is perfect, close enough to everything you need, and far enough away for a very peaceful, stress free holiday. Great for dog walks, great area for ball games away from the vans. The toilet/shower room very nice, kept very clean. Good rubbish/recycling facilities. Most importantly, the owners Sarah and Kevin couldn't have been more helpful, even when my husband was hospitalised on our last evening, they let us put our van on their drive until he was discharged. We would recommend this site unconditionally. Thanks for a great time!

Very unhelpful people.

Beware.. I had to send a £50 deposit to secure a pitch at this site. When I could not go because of an unscheduled operation I was told my deposit was non refundable, even though I was giving them app.2 month notice.. The owner became very rude and either would not answer the phone or cut the phone off in the middle of a conversation. I Would not recommend this site......
