Beautiful CL and warm welcome

Beautiful CL and the owners Mike and his partner were extremely welcoming and offered many Suggestions for visiting the local places of interest. Mike spends time in looking after this CL which is bordered by lovely flowers and solar lights. Plenty of room on each pitch and rubbish, water and chemical disposal Located midway between pitches. Very well thought out and combination lock on entrance gate gives peace of mind. This is what an excellent CL should look like and all this for £15 a night. Specific conditions were laid out for coping with current covid crisis, social distancing was easy here. Thoroughly recommended!

A Well Kept and Tidy CL Site on the Scenic Gower Peninsular

Mike and Jane, owners of Tyr Coed are friendly and welcoming. Easy to find (look out for Mike’s bright orange wind sock đŸ˜€) Ease of access and on leaving, the road is a fairly quiet one. All pitches are very generously sized, with part hard standing and part grass, separated by low fencing and well kept plants, shrubs and small trees, grass is cut short. We enjoyed staying here earlier in the year and couldn’t wait to come back again to explore more of the fabulous Gower walks and its fabulous beaches, (some great for surfing, others sandy, rocky and safe swimming etc..) Shops are not too far away, but best to have transport, though the Gower does have bus services. WiFi and scenic countryside views from this campsite are a bonus. đŸ˜€ Ps. Not forgetting our daily visits from the campsites delightful chickens and ducks.

A real gem!

Ty'r Coed is a real gem of a CL. Very large, individually fenced pitches with plenty of room for car(s), caravan, awning, tables and chairs etc. Our hardstanding pitch was level, with the site overall on very slightly sloping ground, but certainly not enough to worry about (no blocks required). Each pitch has flowers, and solar lights at ground level to softly illuminate the site at night. The windsock at the site boundary is a great idea to help locate the gated entrance, which is large enough for car and caravan to easily pull off the road before unlocking the coded secure gate (another good idea). The field is surrounded by high hedges, so not visible from the road, but once on site there are lovely views of Cefn Bryn. We loved it. Many thanks to Mike and Jayne for such a great site.

Fab CL

We were here for the first time over the Whitsun holidays for a week. What a beautiful area to visit and beautiful cl. The photos do not do the site justice as it is a lot more established. Mike and Jane are lovely people and make you feel extremely welcome. Mike is very easy to talk too and can give you lots of information about the area. The pitches are well spaced out and have plenty of room. The water point, bins and waste area are easy to access and clean. It is lovely to be visited by the chickens, ducks that wander up from the farm area. We will definately recommend this to our other caravanners who would want to come to this area. Well done. Keep up the good work.

THIS IS A GREAT CL

This is our first visit to the Gower area and although it’s late April 2018 it would be hard to find a CL site as good as this. From the moment we arrived Michael was most hospitable. With information relating to the site and local amenities and tourist attractions within easy reach of site. The site itself is neat and tidy with 5 large fenced pitch areas. Access is easy with sufficient parking room prior to security gate. An orange wind sock denotes entrance which can be seen as you approach site. All in all we have spent 8 days here, with good tv reception and free Wi-fi to all pitches this is a site to enjoy thankyou Mike and Jane. See you again. Regards Lin Ron & Rocky. .

Perfect for quiet time

5th to 16th September 17 - blowing a gale on two nights , lots of rain but not disappointed with the site , very helpful Mike (host) and the countryside. Managed good cycle rides (the whole of Gower easily reachable and enough back roads to be fun), coast walking at Rhossili and Swansea Bay. Very well maintained site and the free site wi-fi is brilliant. Good security with locked gate, felt very safe. Well recommended. Brian & Jenny

What more can we say.....September 2017

Agree with all the previous comments. Such a lovely friendly site. Mike couldn't do enough to make as feel welcome. Felt like we'd known him for ages. Great location, immaculate site, which I think will get even better once the trees and plants are more mature. The Gower is a beautiful peaceful area, plenty of opportunities for walking. Will return one day!

Gower at its best

Just returned after a 12 night stay at Tyr Coed. The welcome from Mike was as good as you could wish; we were made to feel very much at home from the outset. The site is clearly marked out with each pitch in its own 'garden', with hanging baskets hanging from the fences and other planting around. The gravel hardstandings are level and no levelling blocks are required. the site is extremely well maintained, Mike cuts the grass at least twice a week. Recycling bins are clearly labelled, and include a dog bin with a supply of dog bags. Information of the local area and services are contained in packs in the wooden shelter. For dog owners there is a separate dog excise field adjacent to the main field. The coded lockable gate provided some reassurance when away from the site. The view of the hills from the site adds to the overall experience. Rhossili Bay, and other outstanding beaches are only a short distance away, as are other local features and places. In all our 15 years of caravanning, mostly on CLs, this was the best by far. Thanks for your hospitality Mike, and for making our stay so enjoyable. PS. When approaching the site look for the orange windsock by the gate.
