Peaceful CL with good access to local attractions, highly recommended
Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and under 2. We stayed for 9 nights.
Easy access off the A684 about half a mile outside of Constable Burton. It is a working farm with cows, sheep and a horse in fields nearby. The site is slightly sloping / uneven but nothing too challenging we got set up in no time and didn't pay the owner for a couple of days!
The livestock are rotated around fields adjoining the CL site and you can stroke the cows and horse which was nice for the kids.
There is a stream approximately 100yds from the CL site which forms part of a walk in to the village but you need wellies!
Very tranquil location and trains can be seen on the Wensleydale Railway from the site.
Strict 5 van only which is nice to see.
Facilities consist of a wooden hut with a toilet, shower and sink.
*** Shower takes 20p pieces = 2 minutes shower time ***
We had a lot of rain but the site drains very well and we did not experience any flooding at all.
The owner called in for a chat one day and was very helpful.
We tend to seek new places to visit but I would not hesitate to return to this site.
