Our First Stay

Enjoying our stay at Walnut Tree which is a first class site with fully serviced hard standing pitches with facilities that are far better than many larger sites that we have stayed on. It is situated with in easy reach of the coast and inland attractions also with supermarkets close by. John, Rachel and their girls are most welcoming, friendly and helpful. As the title says it is our first visit but it certainly will not be our last.

Wow

Stayed from the 6th October for 8 nights on the Norfolk Horn pitch. With extensive towing of cl sites in the UK this is the best site by far. Would fully recommend this site.

One to return to....

What a lovely site, easy to access and 5 lovely hardstanding pitches. It's nice having the choice to reserve a particular pitch you would like and they are all nice and level with water, grey waste and electric to each pitch. John and Rachel are very friendly (although John was very busy with jobs on the farm) and we would definitely visit again. The factilities are great and the local produce on sale in the honesty shop is a nice touch. Yes, there is a little road noise which to be fair you only hear at night when everything is switched off but by this time it's quieter anyway so really didn't cause an issue. I would thoroughly recommend this site.

Lovely site

Great CL, pitches large, fully serviced, clean, very well kept. A lovely welcome from John & Rachel. Showers are always clean and with plenty of hot water. The honesty shop is also a great asset. Several fantastic beaches within a short drive, large supermarkets close by, free parking in Morrisons then five minutes walk into Dereham. The Lodge at North Tuddenham is a really nice friendly pub/restaurant just a couple of miles away, (the steak pie and mash was amazing). John is very hard working around the farm, but always has time for a lovely friendly chat, nothing is too much trouble, it's easy to see why they have won the award and get such good reviews too.

What a Gem!

As per previous reviews what a hidden gem Walnut Tree Farm is! Fabulous welcome from John & Rachel. Super spacious fully serviced pitches. Easy walk via fields and country lane to pubs, village shop, butchers. Dog walking field on site and all for very reasonable price - cannot recommend highly enough!

Relaxing weekend

Another great example of modern CL sites. All pitches are Hardstanding, each one has water, EHU and grey waste. Surprisingly, there is also WiFi along with great facilities comprising two shower rooms and a small honesty shop. The local village is a short walk, even better is The Angel pub less than 10 minute walk. More a traditional pub with pub grub, has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The village also boasts a butchers (who had bones for the dog), a convenience store and a second pub called Darbys, this is more a restaurant pub, but again friendly and welcoming. John Fisher, the owner, has clearly put a lot of work into the site and makes sure everyone is welcomed personally on arrival. The price you see is the price you pay, it includes all adults, so none of this price per night plus a charge for each additional adult! Considering the great facilities and the WiFi, this is a great site for the price. Highly recommend it for a chilled relaxing break.

A beautiful CL site.

My wife and our 2 German Shepherds stayed at this stunning CL site for 9 nights during July. We were met by the owner John his wife Rachel and their children. We were shown to our pitch and shown around the site which was stunning and easy to find with easy access for the largest of caravans and motor homes. Each pitch was huge with electric hook up fresh water tap and grey waste. The shower block was immaculately clean and a small shop with honesty box provided essential items. The site is a sun trap all day long and we had some beautiful sunsets to view on an evening with a nice cool beer. There are sheep in the adjoining field but these are secured by a small electric fence which is moved from time to time. Just remember to keep your dogs and fingers off it. The site is situated beside a small b class road however we did not think it was particularly busy or intruded on our peace and quiet. The site is ideally situated for visiting many attractions and 40 minutes from the the beach at Wells at the sea which is stunning. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Cl to anyone visiting the Norfolk area. We will definitely return. Thanks to all for a fantastic break. Well worthy of the plaudits it receives.

CL SITE OF EXCELLENCE – The Savoy of CLs

My wife, Christie Labrador and myself have just returned from spending 7 great nights at this “centre of excellence”. Attention to detail along with providing an exceptional customer experience are Rachel, John, Sophia, and Charlotte (+ their new arrival and not forgetting the Hampshires) priorities. The site consists of 6 level hard standing 9 x 9 metres fully serviced individually named pitches with electric, water and grey waste. There is an excellent on site amenity block and honesty shop. The shower, toilets, washing and drying provisions put many larger sites to shame. There is an excellent on line booking system and prior to arrival we were provided with a comprehensive information pack. The route recommendations are spot on and should be followed. The honesty shop is well stocked with “essential” holiday goodies. We can recommend the lamb chops and burgers. On arrival we were greeted by John and were given an informative “induction” demonstrating nothing would be too much trouble. “Head of Customer Experience” – six years old Charlotte visited us a couple of times during our stay to ensure everything was satisfactory. The site is ideally located to explore Mid Norfolk and beyond. We will definitely be returning. Walnut Tree Farm justly deserved the best newcomer CL of 2021 and we truly believe there will be more accolades in the future. A truly wonderful site – thank you John, Rachel Sophia and Charlotte. Nice site

We've stayed on this site a couple of times. The facilities are excellent, the only really negative is, its beside a busy B road into Dereham, so there's quite a lot of intrusive road noise.

Lovely site

I found that the welcome pack attached to the booking confirmation email was excellent and informative. Very good detailed instructions for getting to the site. Rachel met us as we drove in and gave us a warm welcome. She explained where everything was located. The site is nice and quiet, just a bit of noise from road nearby but not a problem for us. Local sheep in fields. Pitches were great, plenty of room with water and electric. The toilets and showers were excellent and very clean. There was an honesty box for various sundries and local produce that could be purchased. There was not a designated dog walk on site but managed to walk around a field for most of the week before the electric fences were moved for the sheep to change location, but as our dog is getting on a bit this wasn't a problem. However there was a great site about 3 miles away called Bawdeswell Heath Nature reserve for dogs let off steam. Overall a great little site and I believe the pitches will be upgraded to hard standing with grass pitch for awnings from November 2021. Well done John and Rachel.
