Magical views

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 8 night stay at this CL, in our caravan despite having a lot of rain. The CL is all grass, set over 3 fields. £19 a night including 'reasonable use' of electricity. There is a useful information room; recycling facilities and opportunity to buy fresh eggs. The views across the countryside and estuary can only be described as stunning. We enjoyed cycling on the Tarka Trail which is easy to reach from the site, but we would recommend turning left out of the site and right at the crossroads to go down through the village of West Ashford to access the Tarka Trail. From here it is easier to cross the busy road and has a more accessible path to the Trail. The owners are very friendly but not intrusive. We struggled to get off the site when time to leave because there had been so much rain, but thankfully Mrs May was more than happy to give us a swift tow off. If you book to visit, make sure you follow the clear directions provided by the site, as since the Caravan Club issued directions, there is a new roundabout to a housing estate which could cause confusion. You really don’t want to towing or driving a large Motorhome through some of the narrow lanes. We would recommend this site and will definitely return.
