Summer heatwave.

Arrived at this beautiful CL for a 2 week stay right in the middle of our summer heatwave. We were welcomed on site by a beautifully well mannered and polite Joe Junior, who explained everything to us and got us settled in, a credit to you both Kathy and Joe. The site is a little gem, a little sloping but immaculately maintained. Lots to do and see around the area. Enjoyed the craic with Kathy and Joe who made us feel very welcome. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay, hope it's not too long till we return. Paul and Eileen Robson.

Wonderful site with wonderful owners.

Lovely site, can recommend without hesitation. The owners were incredibly helpful. The Internet packed up so they bought a new system the same day and had it up and running quickly. A violent unexpected clap of thunder sent our elderly dog ( who is suffering with dementia) racing out of the caravan and out of the site. Many thanks to the owner who helped get her back. Lovely walking from site and plenty of places to visit in the area.

Wonderful site with a warm welcome

Thank you, Kathy and Joe, for a lovely fortnight and help with our caravan crisis. You are the best tool suppliers in Somerset! This is a beautiful site with large pitches and pristine facilities. It is very dog friendly, with a large enclosed area at the top of the site. The Mendips make a wonderful backdrop. Kathy & Joe have made welcome improvements since taking over last year, including the installation of a shower. They have plans for further improvements in the next couple of years. We visited the Burcott Inn at Wookey, and had a very nice meal. We would recommend this pub, which is only a 5 minute drive away. Chris & Pam

THE JOY OF SOMERSET.

A lovely site, Tick all the boxes, Peaceful, scenic, Close to tourist attractions and the City of Wells. Bus service nearby. Just visited over the spring bank holiday, Thank you Kathy and Jo. JEFF, HELEN AND MOTHER IN LAW, EVE, POOLE, DORSET.

Scenic Site

Beautiful scenic site with easy access and Kathy and Joe are extremely welcoming and helpful. Lots of walking from the site to Wookey, Wooky Hole and beyond. Spacious pitches, lovely views and very relaxing. A little traffic noise from A371 but not intrusive and easily outdone by the birdsong. Amenities immaculate. Although not essential to us WiFi was useful. The slope was not an issue and there are lots of blocks to help with levelling by the amenities. Will be back!

Excellent CL

Beautiful location, and spacious, well managed site. Superb dog facilities with a good sized dog walk area, and easy access to the site. Really enjoyed our stay, very relaxing. Best site so far we’ve been too - We will be back later in the year

One of the best

This is a lovely cl site with easy access to Cheddar, Wells, Wookey and other surrounding areas. Woodlands has spacious pitches with great views of the Mendip hills. Kathy and Joe are lovely cl owners and were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. One of our favourite's and we will be going back. On one of our days out the Cathedral and Palace were amazing and well worth a visit. Whilst staying here we were able to book a local taxi firm( Cathedral taxi) to pick us up and drop us back after a few local ales in the Swan Hotel with the Cathedral as our back drop. Highly recommend this cl. Russ and Jane (from Cornwall)

Excellent site

One of the nicest sites we've stayed at. Everything is kept to an immaculate standard and the owners are super friendly and helpful. The site is on a gentle slope and it was wet when we arrived and left. Joe, the owner, offered to tow us on and off the pitch, as our front wheel drive car wouldn't even look at those sort of conditions. Big thanks, Joe! Access to the site is easy from the main road and the pitches are well spaced with nice views. There is some road noise, but not enough to be really noticeable. In fact, the local Woodpecker was the noisiest thing! The facilities are clean and tidy. When we arrived, we went to use the shower but it was only running cold. This was mentioned to Joe and a brand new Mira shower unit was fitted the following morning (on a Sunday!) - well impressed! The owners obviously take great pride in the site and they deserve 5 stars for customer service. Well done! We would definitely recommend this site and we will return.

A week at woodlands

We returned last week after spending a week at this wonderful CL site. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, and although they have only been running the site a few months, their local knowledge was extremely helpful. The facilities were some of the cleanest we have ever seen, and with the site being on a slope it was useful having water at the top and bottom. Access was excellent, and easy to find. Although it is on a main road, it's not very busy and you can hardly hear traffic from the pitch. The grounds are maintained to a very high standard, the grass seems well drained so towing our 2 ton schooner up the wet grass slope on departure was not an issue. The location was great for days out, Wells only a few minutes away, and some great beeches within an easy drive. Will definitely be back next year!

Fantastic site !

Now this is a site you must visit if you are in the area. The owners ,Kathy and Joe could not be more welcoming and helpful. As the site is sloping in some parts you need levelling blocks but no worries as they have plenty there for you to use. In our case Joe was around to help us get level ! Beautifully laid out and great facilities with incredible views. It is a perfect place to explore the wonderful city of Wells,Glastonbury and surrounding district. This is the type of CL that makes caravanning so enjoyable. We shall return Kathy and Joe ! Julia and Kevin Jameson
