A little gem of a place

We stayed here overnight as we had a wedding to go to the next day, we wished we could have stayed longer as the area is beautiful, the pitches are not only spacious but all are fully serviced and have a picnic bench, the owner came out in the evening with bags of ice for everyone as the heat was stifling (lovely touch), short walk to a well stocked Co-op passing a pub on the way, would definately go back at some point.

Just excellent

This is one of the best CLs we have ever used in all our 45 years as CAMC members. It is far superior in every way to most Caravan Club sites - better facilities, quieter and certainly less expensive.

Lovely CL

We stayed here for a couple of nights in April 2022, the owners were welcoming and helpful. We caught a bus into Shrewsbury and back, no problems. Lots of lovely walks and a nice pub nearby. It is a lovely site.

What a welcome

This is a peaceful, tranquil site with all that you need for a great stay. Our welcome was exemplary accompanied by a folder containing all the local information. The pitches are fully serviced, ie. power, water and waste with a toilet block as well with two sets with toilet, shower and wash-hand basin in each. David and Sarah are on hand in their house close by to answer any questions you might have. Friendly for dog owners and those without pets. Close to the village where there is all that you could want, food-wise. Also two pubs close by for food and drink, we chose The Nags Head for our first nights dinner. Would recommend it as service and quality excellent. It is a bit of a hike into Shrewsbury, we used the Park & Ride service which was excellent with a small charge in spite of having bus passes! TV receptions noted as fair but we had no problem getting excellent reception. We used the App 'Antenna Finder' to get the best reception and it wasn't in the direction that Sarah and David's aerial was pointing!! Will be back again.

First time on a CL - EXCELLENT!!!

This was our first stay on a CL site and what a good choice we made! Sarah & David were very welcoming and helpful. They gave us a folder filled with information on bus timetables, local walks and attractions and restaurants. The site is very quiet and peaceful - perfect for us and our 2 dogs. The facilities are immaculate and there was the added bonus of a serviced pitch. The location was perfect for us as we met up with family in Bridgnorth. We will definitely be staying here again, there's so much to do and a long weekend wasn't long enough!

Peaceful and well set up CL

Just stayed 2 nights at this lovely CL site near Shrewsbury - great facilities, well kept, and spacious pitches. Warm welcome from owners Sarah and Dave, who keep the CL in tip top condition. Great access to many local walks, with some wonderful scenery to explore (forests, hills and fields, even a hidden waterfall). The lovely village of Pondesbury is a short walk away, with some great places to eat (Zarra the local Chinese restaurant and take away, plus the Nags head pub we’re both sampled and are well worth a visit as the food was excellent). Would recommend this CL to anyone wanting a peaceful stay, great walks both short and long, and easy access to village amenities. Our dogs loved it too.

First family meet up after lockdown

This was our first family meet up after lockdown restrictions were lifted in England allowing us to travel from Wales. It was a lovely site, well laid out and pitches well spaced, even if some a bit sloping. Fully serviced pitches were a bonus however the water taps were quite far from the caravan if you didn't think about which side of the pitch you were setting up on. There should be a side note on the information making it clear not to follow SAT NAT for the post code. Brother in law made this mistake and ended up down the driveway to a cattery on the other side of the road. Obviously an easy mistake to make and a regular occurrence as some other caravanners arriving on the same day as us had also done the same thing. Not easy to get out of either as the cattery lane is very narrow and nowhere to turn around. Would definitely recommend and have already booked to return again in September.

A Perfect Introduction to Caravaning

This was our first trip, in our first caravan and the experience was made easy and wonderful by Sarah and Dave at Woodville. Site is situated in a beautiful setting with many walks direct from the site. We didn’t use the car at all during our three night stay. Wild flowers galore, lambs skipping in the fields, kites overhead and woodpeckers tapping the trees. Woodland, fields, hills, gorges, waterfalls and babbling brooks all within an easy stroll of the site. The site had everything we needed; spacious, fully serviced hard standing pitches, modern and clean toilet facilities(showers not in use but looked good), helpful and friendly owners. We had two lively dogs with us but because we could access open country and had a secure field to off lead, next to the pitches, our lives were made so much easier than we had anticipated. Good facilities in the local village should you require them. We had a wonderful few days and we shall be returning.
