Great location

We visited the site over easter half term, great site and i can pretty much agree with the many comprehensive reviews already listed so i won't rattle on!. This is about our 5th list to London and previously we had stayed at Crystal Palace, this being our first try at Abbey Wood. Both sites are great to the high club standard you would expect, so i will just list a few considerations for this against Crystal Palace. The access from the M25 motorway to Abbey Wood is excellent in comparison to Crystal Palace, I'm not saying Crystal Palace is horrific because its not, but Abbey Wood has a much better caravan friendly route from the motorway to the site and is much closer to the motorway network. The walk to Crystal Palace and Abbey Wood to the local train station is comparable, and both train routes and services are fantastic. Crystal Palace town itself is much better than Abbey Wood. I imagine most people will arrive at the site and like us, each day set off into the London Metropolis, however occasionally when at Crystal Palace we will take a walk around the town visit the shops, pubs and restraints which are all fine. This isn't really an option at Abbey Wood as there isn't much there save the station, a goos supermarket and a few local takeaways etc. Its still an OK place but CP can offer more.
