Quiet peaceful site

Lovely quiet site, plenty to do roundabout. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Second time here and will definitely return next year.  Toilets need a bit updating but are spotless and well maintained. Pick your pitch carefully to fully enjoy the sunshine, the tall surrounding trees can block out sun early in some pitches.

Week End Break

Found this site extremely quiet being so close to the main town, although we only stayed three nights it was very relaying and peaceful. Will certainly be using it again.

Fantastic location with friendly wardens

A place we had never visited in our 23 years of motorhoming.. Set in a lovely location with access to river walk into town(10mins) walk through town to dog friendly beaches. The site itself has friendly accommodating wardens who appeared to make everyone and the many doggies on site very welcome, Clean spotless facilities always a bonus too!! we only had 3 days but will 100% be returning in very near future!  Well done wardens this is a gem of a place.

Cc sat nav hopeless

Great site once you find it, club recommend snooper sat nav takes you down dead ends hard to reverse with a caravan so very stressed at the end of our journey, club either needs to update their site info or give notes on "disregard our cclub sat navs directions" site situated well for getting around and a beautiful beach not far way from site, plenty to do and very relaxing stay.

Lovely Site in Great Location

We spent 8 nights here in early August. The site is ideally located a short (10 - 15 minute) walk from the town centre of Ayr. The walk is a very nice riverside route. The site itself is neat and tidy and very sheltered, which we needed during the 50mph gusts of wind we got on the first weekend. There is one toilet block on the site which was left clean by the wardens but we felt the squeegee mops could have been better for people to clean up after themselves. You need to be careful using a Sat Nav to find the site as ours kept trying to take us down an access road which is now closed. This is an ideal location for seeing anything in Ayr and slightly further afield. You are within 45 minutes of the centre of Glasgow and close to tourist attractions such as the Robert Burns Trail or Culzean Castle.

What's your Hurry?

We spent three nights at this site in August. With easy walking access to Ayr with its shops, railway and bus stations with transport throughout Ayrshire and beyond, this is ideally situated. The wardens keep the site clean, neat and tidy, but the toilet block does need refurbishment, and the disabled toilet is not anywhere near the Club's usual high standards. And while the majority of drivers do observe the speed limit, a significant minority drive around the site at incredible speed with no regard for the safety of others. There is no profile for these reckless drivers, for they range in age from young to elderly, caravaners, motor caravaners, men and woman. But this site is so well situated that we will return.

Nice site

This is a lovely site located just behind Ayr racecourse. Ayr town is a real let down. It is not a seaside town, but a town by the sea. That said. This site is highly recommended.

Feedback after visit

Lovely site which we've been to before.  Excellent wardens and very clean and well organised.  We love the semi-prviacy of each pitch and the sheltered location.   The toilets and showers are now a bit dated but clean.  It would be nice if a few pitches had full facilities ie water as well as power!
