March 2015 visit

Spent three nights at the site in March 2015. The site is easy to find and in an excellent location. It is just a few minutes walk from the centre of town, with easy access to shops and the seafront. The site itself was very clean and the staff very friendly. There were two of us and a dog. Excellent dog walk along the river going out of town (starting just outside the site). Took a long walk south along the seafront and beach on one of the days. On another, walked to Troon and got the train back. Would definitely recommend this site. There is plenty to do within the town itself, there are many places of interest within a short drive and there are some good walking areas close by.

Walking on Ayr

We have just spent 7 nights at Ayr from March 14th 2015 and had a really relaxing time. There are lots of free parking areas in Ayr especially on the coastal Road known as the Lang Mile. The Site is very quiet and at the nearby University you can get a 5piece cooked breakfast for £2.10 from Monday to Friday. There are several reasonable walks within 10miles of the site. The site is next too the river which as some good paths to follow for several miles. Within 10minutes of the site are several good restuarants. One we would recommend is the Tudor Restuarant. We will definitely visit this one again.

Great weekend

Just got home from another great weekend at Craigie Gardens. The site is in an excellent location only a short walk from Ayr town centre where there is a good selection of shops and places to eat. The site itself is well laid out with spacious pitches and clean toilet block. The wardens are also very helpful and friendly.

Right in the heart of Burns country

This is a fantastic CC site right within walking distance of Ayr town center and all that a county town promises, shops restaurants theater cinema a fantastic clean beach and an indoor swimming pool. Its great for exploring Ayrshire and has easy access even for the largest outfits like ours.
