Good for families

Good site

We stayed at Ayr cragie gardens last week. Not sure why there are some comments about the wardens, we had a lovely friendly welcome. The pitches are nice and well spaced, toilet block is a bit dated but lovely and warm. Ayr itself is very rundown and we couldn't find any good points at all.  A word to the wise, if you are travelling from England please don't follow the caravan club plan a route. This took us up the M74 and onto the A70 which was so bumpy you would have thought it was a test track. The warden told us to go back on the A76 to Dumfries, this was a much better route.
