This site was immaculate and a great credit to the site staff. Bearsted CC couldn't be easier to access, it being just half a mile from junc 8 of the M20 and  the entrance being accessed from the A20. I only stayed the one night, as I wanted to meet up with an old work colleague who lives in Bearsted village. Bearsted is a 20 minute walk (not pleasant at first as you walk along the busy road) but my friend took me through a very attractive woodland area and into the beautiful village. Where there are great places to eat and relax. As well as Leeds Castle you can also reach the north Kent coast easily and visit Whitstable, Faversham, Rochester etc. For lots though, I guess this would be a resting point before hitting the channel crossing.   Bit of traffic hum but for me a very peaceful getaway.
