Berwick sea view

Absolutlely agree with the two last reviews, just two negatives it is very crowded when full, the pitches are very close together also we pulled up  in a lay-byas it is a 1 o clock arriving site to find no one else adhered to this!!! Whilst we were here people were arriving at eleven fifteen. Not very fair

Happy Days!

Excellent site which gets better every year. We've stayed there regularly since 2002. Wardens are helpful, friendly and welcoming. Handy for shopping, sightseeing and walks on the beach - a 5 minute walk away. Happy to recommend this site to both young and old. Well done  Berwick Seaview. We look forward to our return in 2017. Wilf & Helen Brown.

What a Gem!

Having never stayed in Northumberland before, my wife and I were pleased at how everywhere was so clean and the locals so pleasant. The site was spotless, with immaculate shower block. The main train line runs behind the site, but after a few trains have passed you get used to them, and our sleep was not affected. The same goes for the local church bell on the hour. The local pub at the bottom of the hill is dog friendly, so much they even had biscuits. M and S and Asda are also nearby.

excellent site

we stayed for a week in may 2016 from the moment we arrived we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the site was immaculate and has stunning views from all pitches the nearest shops were a ten minute walk away - asda, m & s food and other large shops on the retail park we walked into berwick along the dock road - this took us approx 45 minutes but we were stopping to enjoy the view along the way we visited a few places by car - bamburgh castle, holy island and the local honey farm all well worth the visit the only downside i could foresee from the whole visit was the wind - we had very good weather during our stay - we had one day were it was a tad windy and owing to the site being on high ground - we tethered the awning with storm straps - maybe  worthwhile making sure you take some with you as a precaution  the trainline runs behind the site - the noise did not bother us at all during our stay

Another great stay

We have now stayed here on two separate occasions (1 3 night stay and last week just for 1 nt on our way up to the north coast of Scotland).  Both times we had a great time.  V friendly staff, clean toilets / showers and washing up area. The location is brilliant.... a short walk to the beach, a longer walk into Berwick and if you need supplies M&S food hall about a 15 min walk away.  We will return for sure!

A Golden Weekend!

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary weekend at your beautiful site and thoroughly enjoyed our selves! Your warden directed us to "Foxtons" for our celebratory evening and, given that they started off with a full diary, they looked after us superbly, in an absolutely `jumping`atmosphere. A TIME TO ALWAYS REMEMBER! Richard and Ivy Birch.

Lovely site, lovely area.

Just returned from a 7 night stay at Berwick Seaview. We had lovely weather for virtually the whole of the week.  Site up to the usual CC standards. Wardens very helpful.  Some of the pitches are very tight, especially when the site is full.  We had a lovely view from pitch 48 at the top of the site with the railway line running behind.  If you have a motor mover you will have a lot more choice of pitches with views as you can turn your van round to face the sea.   Be prepared for the noise from the trains which run several times an hour from 6 am til 11 pm.  If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs, although by the second day we didn't notice them any more.  The church bells below the site also chime on the hour, every hour, all night long! Berwick is a bit tired and shabby but don't miss out on a walk around the ramparts which has great views of the surrounding area and the river with its spectacular bridges.   The site is a great base for visiting lots of places, favourites were Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, St Abbs, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Pease Bay, to name but a few.  Drive across the chain bridge near the honey farm, that's an experience! There is a beach for dog walkers within five minutes walk of the site.   An asda, and m & s food hall can be found within five minutes drive of the site.   We would definitely return to this site if we were in the area again.

Ideal site for local attractions

This site is an ideal location for the local attractions. eg. Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, Holy Island, Alnwick Castle and gardens, Edinburgh and not forgetting Berwick itself. The site is easy to find and being perched on a plateau, has beautiful views over the town. It is very well kept, with good size pitches. The shower block is spotless with good size cubicles and no shortage of hot water. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. Some train noise but not enough to cause any great disturbance Would highly recommend this site. We have seen most of the area now but would not hesitate to return to this site.

Nice site.

Looked at this site, on and off. At last I finally managed to get time away and spent five days here.  Site well managed and very tidy. Plenty of things in the area to keep you busy. Planning a return visit soon.
