Firstly let me say that the facilities were of a high standard and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We had been considering visiting this site for some time but had been a bit reluctant because of its proximity to the main East Coast railway line - this is flagged up by the Club and has also be mentioned in some of the reviews. To anybody else who has been thinking the same let me say that there is some noise but surprisingly we did not find it intrusive. Had we visited the site in the 1950s I think the noise of the steam trains would have been very intrusive but it is now an electrified line so the noise is minimal. The Northumberland coast is one of our favourite areas and this site is an ideal base for exploring it further.
