Feb Half term

Have just arrived home, from our 1st try out in our caravan, we had a lovely welcome and site was well explained to us, we had a standard gravel pitch and was of excellent size, even though the weather has been awlful, site and facilites kept up to very high clean standards. My only downside was the amount of rabbits as my dog really wanted to get at them the hole time, and the connection to caravan club Wifi has been really poor and slow, but not stopped us from having an excellent time, and stress free 1st trip, heres to more sites like Black horse farm, many thanks the Moore FamilyĀ

ferry pitches

Stayed here last friday  tell at five mins to five  and where asked if we would take a ferry pitch as they where very busy never heard of a ferry pitch but said ok big mistake . We where given a pitch like a ski slope when we ask to move to a level pitch told this was for breakdowns only so had to take a sloping pitch hext to us three caravans taking up five level pitches . Five oclock next morning engines running next to us for fifteen mins to de ice screen  in efect we would have got a better nigths sleep om the motorway services as the main road was next to us and it is a noisy road so beware if you are offered a ferry pitch beware . On cpmplaining next day we where told we should have booked earlier  we have stayed here many time but will not stay again whilr the current staff are in charge  There where at least 8 pitches available that where level we where told we migth run on grass as they did not no how good my driving skills where  you could have put a double decker on these pitche ..

First timers

This is the first time we have stayed on a caravan club site due to the convenience and all year availability. I hope we have not been spoiled since we found the experience to be superb. The toilet/shower blocks were warm, welcoming and extremely clean. Site was quiet although by no means unoccupied. Best feature for us was the excellent bus service from stops outside the gate.

2 days near Dover

We visited Black Horse Farm Club site to collect a piece of equipment but afterwards visit some of the villages nearby. The site is just a few miles fro Folkestone, Dover and Hythe and there are a number of historic buildings near the site. the site is spacious and the facilities are very good and clean. There is some road noise but otherwise a very peaceful site. We will use this site again later in the year and would readily recommend it

Ferry Piches

We booked a ferry pitch for our outward and return journey to Europe. On the return we arrived to find the office closed and our pitch allocated. Although the campsite was quite empty, all of the outfits were located close together in an area close to the main road. This would have been fine if we wanted to leave at 6.00 am for an early ferry, as at this time all of our neighbours left and the main road noise became excessive. In future stays at this site we would book a normal pitch for our return journey, these are away from the road and the early morning departures. The dog walk had not survived the winter, "very muddy" but still no excuse for those not picking up after their dogs.

Peaceful and quiet

We visited for 2 days in January and, although seeing when it was not overly busy, found the whole campsite to be quiet, clean and well cared for. The facilities are exactly what you would expect from the Caravan Club. The wardens were approachable, friendly and very helpful. Across the road from the site was shop/post office and the Black Horse pub was within easy walking distance just down the road.
