An important site but!

I have stopped at Black Horse Farm many times over the last 20 or more years. I have seen it get more and more busy as it's such a convenient location for the cross channel ferries and the Channel Tunnel. I think the staff must have a busy job given the number of arrivals and departures especially during the Summer months. I have often considered how it operates compared to sites abroad . I value it highly but I would like to see it operating more flexibly. For example why not free up the wardens by employing cleaners. Don't close the facilities when people are leaving site. I would be willing to pay more for a more flexible service here. Keep the site open longer in the Summer months. I thought this year's requirement of having to ring the site from France to obtain a barrier code created work for the wardens and assumed I  was able to ring from France on the day of my return. I was called when driving even though my daughter had confirmed I would ring. The pitch allocated was not ideal for a twin axle but that's another matter which is not connected to my desire to have this site available . I understand the security issue when people arrive late but I am not convinced the current solution is working well. I wondered if a new barrier system could be looked into. Technology exists (I have seen it on German sites) which allows campers to have their own codes . I think my comment about Summer hours applies across the site network. The club has become less accessible especially for families caravaning on weekends since the Working Time Regulations were introduced. Why can't we have longer opening hours as in all Eurpoean countries?
