Wonderful, relaxing visit

Another great stay at Black Knowl. In an excellent location, walk straight into the forest from the site entrance, the walk into Brockenhurst is very pleasant and easily accessible. Staff were helpful and friendly and grounds were maintaned to a very high standard. Toilet block was immaculate. All the pitches are spacious. Lots to see and do in the area.

Another wonderful visit

Wonderful warm and helpful welcome from the Warden Site is kept immaculately clean and tidy with a good choice of hardstanding and grass pitches The setting is magnificent with easy access to the many walking and cycling routes in The Forest Also within easy driving distance to the coast, show gardens/houses and many interesting towns and villages Highly recommended Note for the Club - more serviced pitches would enhance the site still further

You can't fault the site but getting expensive.

Have been staying here a few years now and you really can't fault the site, and the new wardens are like your best friends, Pete and Jenny your the best. My only gripe is it's getting rather expensive, £61 per night for 3 adults and 2 kids, granted it was Easter and school holidays, but that's a lot of money when we are all having to watch the pennies. Anyway, if you stay here you won't regret it.

Campsite well worth visiting

We have visited Black Knowl twice now and did try to get in a third time but unfortunately they were fully booked. Our last visit was the first week of April and as usual we were not disappointed. The site is great for walks in the Forest, as the entrance opens right into the forest and there is a lovely walk of only 1.5 miles into the village of Brockenhurst. The wardens must also be congratulated on the high standards of cleanliness. Our friends were staying close by in a B&B and were amazed how immaculate the facilities were, especially when you consider the site was almost full. Well done to you all, we will certainly be back.

Perfect for walking

Stayed on this site many times , right in the middle of the Forrest with plenty of wildlife and places to see , good for cycling without any traffic , we do not use the toilet block so can’t comment on how good/bad they are

Fantastic Stay at Black Knowl

We have had another very enjoyable stay at Black Knowl, we return again and again as this site is very well looked after and maintained, the staff are friendly and welcoming. We'll positioned in the New Forest all you have to do is step out of the site and you are there amongst the wildlife, face to face with the ponies. Will definitely be back soon And forgot to say a fish and chip van calls, what can be better

Super location

This is a well located site - convenient for walking and cycling in the New Forest. Well away from main roads. The wardens work hard to keep the site and the facilities in spotless order. All done with good humour. And they went the extra mile to help us with dog food for an unplanned extra night. Thank you - very much appreciated. We'll be back!

Great site in a great location

Just back from a great week at Black Knowl C&MC site near Brockenhurst in the New Forest. Lovely welcome from the staff, site was beautifully kept and the facilities spotless. Lots of nearby walks on gravel paths and muddy paths so you can take your pick. Brockenhurst is a stroll away while if you walk to Lyndhurst you deserve a pint sitting in the sun in the garden of The Stag and a tasty pastie. We’ve been back each year since 2020 and a few more times when the kids were young.

Walkers paradise

A walkers paradise set in the heart of the New Forest, no need to drive anywhere. Only hard standing pitches open in the early season, I think when the grass pitches are open and occupied and the site is full it would feel a bit crammed. Very friendly helpful wardens, immaculate shower block. The last leg of the approach is on a tarmac stretch,....we've been of worse roads,... it is more or less a private road to the site, used by one or two dwellings, very difficult to pass if you should encounter a unit heading toward you, so why do members think that the 1 pm arrival rule does not apply to them, so if you an 'early bird' and arrive before the stated arrival time 1pm, and encounter a motorhome on its way out for the day..... people tend to go out before 1pm to avoid new arrivals...... then you have only yourself to blame.

Excellent dog friendly site !

The site was only open one day for the season and was full ! And you can see why it’s so popular as it’s an oasis in the middle of the NewForest ! Immaculate pitches and facilities, excellent friendly staff and even a special dog wash for man’s best friend. 25 min stroll through the Forest on gravel track brings you to all the facilities of Brockenhurst village ….ponies … deer …adorn the route ! I was so glad they managed to squeeze us in for the night and will definitely be returning if it’s not totally booked out by all the dog owners
