A lovely site with plenty of peace an quiet in beautiful surroundings. One or two very irritating rules however, the most annoying being the toilet block cleaning times. They close for cleaning at 10.30am despite the check out time being 11.00am. This means that just when you need to go and wash your hands and go to the toilet after getting packed away and hitched up, the toilet block is closed! Would it really be too much hassle to just leave it an extra 30 minutes before starting on the toilet block? Absolutely no sympathy whatsoever from the site staff, and I was directed out of the site and down into the woods to use one of the Bolton Abbey Estate toilet blocks. It just seems like such a pointless and badly thought-out rule that could be sorted out so easily. We still had a lovely stay and the site is very peaceful- it would just be nice to have somewhere to wash your hands properly after emptying a chemical toilet ready for your departure!
