A site by the lake
The approach to the site is a bit nail biting as is the turn into the entrance. It is best to park up and take a walk round as the pitches do vary in size and most of the pitches have overhanging trees but the overall effect is one of self contained pitches.
It is a fabulous site for dogs, the dog walk goes straight into a safe wood which is also one of two walking routes to Keswick. A bus stops right outside the site and has many and varied drop off points or you can catch the ferry boat that crosses Derwentwater.
In all a stunning lovely site with resident red squirrels, greater spotted woodpeckers, nuthatch and tree creepers. The site for us was made even better by the resident wardens who are two of the nicest people we have ever met . We will definitely return
