A weekend in Borrowdale

I visited the Borrowdale Caravan club site on the 4th September for two nights.  We arrived at about 7:45 at night. The last mile is quit a tight road especially  at the turn with double hump back bridge.  It is easy to understand why the entry leaving times are restricted, but as a first time caravaner we made it withoutto much dificulty. The site is in a beautiful location, set in a forest but only yards from the lake shore.  There are outstanding views of the lake and surrounding mountings.  The only drawback to the site is the lack of toilets and showers, but with the modern vans it's not much of a problem.   On leaving the site I had some difficulty connecting my electrics, thankfully the sit warden and I his wife were on hand to lend me some help and advice.  Overall we had an excelent weekend and will be back again soon.
