Great start to my holiday
Yes it might not be the easiest route to a site but well worth once you are sited. Wardens are very friendly and helpful and make you feel most welcome. They also have good knowledge of the local area. Walked around the lake on the first day and took up the challenge Cats Bells on day two with outstanding views. Did not find the lack of toilets a real problem just a few more trips to waste point. This site might not suit everyone but if you like walking, wildlife and peace and quite then give it a try.
