Remote site

A beautiful remote site but you have to accept the narrow approach road all the way from Keswick. The village of Grange is particularly bad. If the bus meets you in the really narrow section then I wouldn't like to say what would happen. It's not as if you can see any distance ahead. The site entrance is challenging but at least your fate is in your hands! The site itself is worth the journey, peace and quiet. My only real gripe is since my last visit the natural forest floor has been covered in slate chippings! Why? It wasn't a muddy site. It's not open all year. Setting that aside the site is lovely in the natural trees and close to the lake side. I know I will return and run the gauntlet of the roads. Super site!!
