Quiet & Peaceful and one of the nicest, most helpful wardens we've met.
We had stayed at this site previously when it was still known as Notgrove. Recently revisited the site in our newly acquired van as a sort of "shake down" outing. On arrival the we had a warm welcome from the wardens who explained there was no shower block/toilets on site (which we knew from a previous visit). We initially had some issues with the power on our van but the warden sorted us out quickly and then took the trouble at little later in the evening to check we had settled in ok and there were no more problems (these were down to user error).
The site is a few miles out of Bourton on the Water and although there are some walks that can be done from the site it is wise to avoid walking along the main road as it is a fast, busy road. There is some very good walking from Bourton up to Upper and Lower Slaughter which are well worth visiting. Bourton itself is also well worth a visit but it is usually fairly crowded at most times in the village centre due to the number of tourists. Broadway, Stow on the Wold and Cheltenham are within reasonable driving distance but as mentioned by others, you do need transport. Nearest shops, pubs and restaurants are in Bourton.
The site is clean and well maintained with a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches. The pitches are also reasonably sized. We had no problems with tv reception plugged into the ehu bollard.
