We just visited this site for one night over a weekend for a quick break and were delighted with it.  Yes, it may not be great for children, as others have stated, but this suited us well and made for a quiet, tranquil stay.  The distance from B-on-the-W itself can be an issue if you are a motorhomer, don't want to move your unit, and are planning to use the bus service to the town.  It can be hit and miss on a Saturday.  Luckily we had a car with us too and we were glad we did.  The town is lovely but was heaving with other visitors across our particular weekend so don't expect it to be peaceful in good weather!  We were pleased to have a choice of pitch when we arrived at the site and the wardens were wonderfully friendly and helpful.  They keep the site immaculate. We will be back, hopefully for longer next time, but again with the car!
