Peaceful woodland getaway

This was our first time here for my husband and I and we found it very quiet and friendly. We chose pitch No 5 which was a hardstanding pitch in the lower area, as it was below the road we were not bothered by any road noise. We stayed for 9 nights. I really liked the large wooden trough of fresh herbs grown by the wardens which we could pick for our cooking, the site was attractive with tubs of flowers. We have 2 springer spaniels and we were able to walk them on the Downs which were sheep free and had wooded areas as well. The places we visited were the lovely villages round the Malvern hills, Ludlow which has a local produce market and a super castle, Stokesay castle, N.T. properties Hanbury hall, Croome, which has an RAF Museum, Croft castle, Berrington court and Brockhampton estate. The Wardens were very friendly and helpful we will definitely stay here again.
