Great peaceful site: Love it

Ok, so it's not far from our home, but we've stayed here twice in the last month & enjoy it's location, beauty & peacefulness immensely. The grounds are so well maintained, the location is prime for the surrounding scenery & beaches and makes a fine base to explore the surrounding areas of Caithness, Sutherland and Ross & Cromarty. Wardens are excellent. The beach is stunning & empty & reached by a short walk through the tended grounds of Brora Golf Club. Allin all a highly recommended site. We'll be back...

Don't tell everyone...

This is a gem. Stunning location and an immaculate and beautifully tended site. This is our fourth visit and we just fall a little bit more in love with it each time. The site is a gem but don't tell everyone as there isn't room for us all at once!

Peaceful and relaxing

Lovely quiet and peaceful site.  Great Base for exploring right up to John O'groats.  Wardens were helpful and friendly.  Definitely recommended.

Beautiful Brora

We stayed at Brora for one night as part of a tour of the NE Scotland and we loved it! A friendly welcome to a well situated, smart site. The grounds and the facilities were immaculate, a nice pitch in a peaceful place. We particularly liked the great beach accessed by a short walk over the golf course. Would liked to have stayed longer and will definitely return.

Highland Gem

Returned to Brora again, we love this site. New wardens this year doing a fantastic job. Site very clean and well organised. Lovely walks along the almost deserted 3 mile beach, but close enough to local shops, walkable or by bike.

Worth the Effort

I spent a week here at the end of June. I live in Lincolnshire, so it was something of a marathon journey, but the site and the area are very much worth the effort. The usual standards you expect from a CC site, but really friendly, helpful wardens and a lovely situation just across from the beach. The approach over the little narrow bridge is not for the faint-hearted, but I decided if everyone else could get their 6-berths through, it should be able to accommodate my little 2 berth. Lined it up, held my breath and went for it and it was fine!

Fantastic little site

Stayed at Brora for only one night as part of our world tour of Scotland.  What a great little site with a good friendly welcome....a lolly pop was even hand delivered to my four year old son , while he was still sitting in the car, by the warden. Nice touch. Very easy stroll to the fantastic beach and lovely bay. Very clean site and a pleasure to see grass instead of constant hard standings.  Would recommend this site and will definitely return for a longer stay. A great base for touring the north of Scotland.

Lovely little site

Lovely little site with great views and a short stroll to the beach. Well located for visiting the area. Shower block could do with a bit of updating but it was always warm and clean.

Tranquility

We spent five nights at this site in July. Separated from the coast by dunes and a golf links making it a nature paradise with seals, otters and a wide variety of birds nearby.  A walk through the Golf Course takes you on the scenic route to the village of Brora. And the clubhouse has an excellent menu and good Wi-Fi.   While here we visited Lairg where we saw wild goats on the hillside, Golspie and Dunrobin Castle. The only downside to this excellent site with efficient hard working wardens, was the number of dogs, and dogs per outfit. One couple had eight dogs which were allowed to run off the lead. One of these dogs bit another member causing significant injury. Maybe it is now time for the Club to limit the number of dogs per outfit. The Club owes its members a duty of care, and it could be argued that by failing to control the dogs on site, the Club fails in this duty. But this did not completely spoil this site for us, and we will be back.
