Better than expected!

We booked this site for a weekend away not too far from us. My husbands reaction was "a getaway to Bury? Oh Great!"  After driving through the estate to get there we were pleasantly surprised.  The site is absolutely spotless, with large spacious pitches, an activity centre nearby, a pub just off site that does fabulous meals and a good choice of ales.  The pub has a large beer garden too. Dogs are welcome in and out and although we don't have a dog this didn't bother us at all.   This is less than a 5 minute drive to the centre of Bury so we visited the market whilst the men went for a bike ride.  There is a nature trail nearby and we saw children learning to ride bikes, playing ball games, walking dogs or just being outdoors.  The site is very peaceful but the train track for the East Lancashire railway has tourist trains passing throughout the day. We saw a lot of train spotting caravanners in their glory.   Overall we had a lovely chilling weekend and will definitely go back.

Just Brilliant Top of the Range.

Nothing to dislike.Ticked all the required fields. Will definitely  visit   again. Plenty of space, immaculately presented.  Well done to the Wardens.  Plus so convenient  for Manchester Liverpool and other surrounding areas.

Great site

First time at the site, found staff very helpful and standards very good. Plan to visit again in the future. Visited the East Lancs railway and the Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre, near by in Bolton.

Will Definately Be Back

Our first time stay at Burrs during our holiday. An excellent and very clean site maintained by some of the friendliest wardens that we've come across . They couldn't do enough for us , which helped make our stay a memorable one. There is a pub next to the site and another restaurant close to the site if you don't fancy cooking. The wardens provided us with the number of a local taxi firm and rather than haul the motorhome into Bury we used it and found it to be cheap and prompt. A Great Site for us

Will definitely return!

First time stay at Burrs for a weekend away. Excellent, clean site with the Brown Cow pub and restaurant just outside the site.  Beautiful views and surroundings with the added bonus of the East Lancs steam train passing by each day.  Great for dog walks, family activities or just some rest and relaxation if that's what you prefer.  For those of you who enjoy some retail therapy, you are very close to Bury's famous market which is worth a visit if you like to grab yourself a bargain.  Would definitely recommend and have already booked a return trip in November!

Exactly as described !

Only stayed overnight on route South. Very clean, a little close to each other, but a well kept site. Easy to find, but the approach is very bumpy! Friendly staff, and lovely floral display.

First time stay

First time on this site. Nice location with good walks in adjoining park. Was fun watching the steam train chug past during the day. Helpful wardens nothing too much bother and always smiling. Only slight gripe but not clubs fault is water pressure quite low, so when filling motorhome with water have a book at hand as it takes ages. Would not put me off visiting again as pros outweigh the cons.
