When you are pitched up on this lovely site it’s hard to believe you are so near the centre of Bury. Tucked away in lovely countryside it is peaceful yet very near to shops, pubs and restaurants. Dog walking possibilities here are excellent as it is right next door to Burrs Country Park where they can run free. The East Lancs Steam Railway runs alongside the site and the station is 5 minutes walk away. The journey up to Rawtenstall is a delight and CAMC members get a 2 for 1 discount. Pitches are huge - yes they are all hardstanding as this is an all year site but there is grass alongside each one. It is an attractive site with picturesque views. The lady warden we met was really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The information room comtains loads of local i formation. The ladies shower and toilet facilities need some updating but everywhere was immaculately clean and the grounds are very well kept. We loved the site and will definitely return to explore more of this beautiful area. Wifi and phone signals excellent.
