We arrived in the early afternoon and luckily there were no other vanners coming out of the site so we were able to navigate the narrow cobbled roadway to the site. The wardens were very welcoming and gave us all the advice about the site and the area. The facilities on the site were very good and kept spotless. There was a fair on opposite the site when we arrived but it was their last night so the noise wasn't t bad. The Brown Cow pub is just outside the site gates. We went there on our last night and the beer was good but the steak left a lot to be desired! We went to Bury market on the Wednesday, it was really good. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would recommend the site.
