Arrived mid-afternoon, was delt with quickly, great sense of humour which I welcomed. Actually found the same pitch that I used last time, hand for the facilities and exit. Site spotless, facilities were fabulous and warm, showers etc all good. Couple of pubs close by, one just outside the site and on a little further away. I left this one in the dark and the walk back is "interesting", the pub closer being the easy option. Burrs Park good for short walks and dogs etc. and adventure play activities for kids. Will be lovely in the summer, works taking place over the winter have chewed up a lot of the landscaping. I walked to Peel Tower / Monument, round trip of about 7 miles but worth it. Couldn’t fault the park and the wardens, for me its a short hop, great for a quick weekend away and next time going to try and co-ordinate with the trains.
