Even though we live less than 10 miles from the site, we've stayed here on several occasions: mainly as a try-out for a new campervan/motorhome. Having stayed here in October 2021 and January 2024, we enjoyed our latest visit and have decided we'll be using it more often and it is well located for us to explore the local area. This time, with our new motorhome, we decided on a 2-night stay and even with several years experience behind us, we still had a few teething problems but easily sorted. Although we stayed our of season, we found the peace and quiet great but with the ELR on the doorstep, we'd recommend using this to explore the area when it reopens. For us, as we've two dogs, we enjoy the walking, and ventured into Bury via a riverside walk. Additionally, on our leaving date, we had a breakfast at the café just outside the site and would heartily recommend that too All in all, a good break and planning a return soon
