Taking full advantage of the cheaper rate of the midweek discount we decided on a few days at the Buxton site in our motorvan....all pitches are hard standing and despite being in a quarry were able to receive a satellite signal...and if we couldn't we could have hard wired ourselves to the service pylons...so far so good...we were approached by one of the wardens to purchase a raffle ticket for a pair of tickets for the opera house in the town for the next night which had been donated by an unknown member who was now unable to go...anyway we won the raffle and had a very enjoyable evening in a box at the theatre..so a big thank you to the staff at the site who organised the raffle and to the member who donated the said tickets..lovely few days even managed a few walks
