The site is comparably with other CC sites and has no obvious faults. The Caravan Club web page indicated the site was full but we booked by phone and there were ample pitches available. Papers ordered on each of the three days of our visit. Plenty of dog walking off-site among the woods to Pooles Cavern and Buxton and also the paths to Solomon Temple. We returned home considerably fitter than when we arrived, everywhere is uphill on the way out or way back to the site, and those of limited mobility or pushchair users would struggle to walk far from the site. There appears to be no mobile phone coverage on site but a land line phone is available. There was heavy rain one night but the site drained well and pools/puddles were minimal.
