Good for families

Lovely and peaceful stay in the heart of the Peaks.

Lovely site with firendly staff and beautiful sorroundings. Perfect stay for couples and families who`s main focus is walks and being outdoors. Site is quiet long and narrow so there might be a little walk required to get to the facilites and bins, but we did not mind and got our steps in! There is a very patchy mobile network access in some spots on the site, but there is an excellent WI-Fi coverage, so it did not bother us at all.If you love walking, Solomn`s Temple is just a short walk from the site and plenty of other walks near by. It took as 12 minutes to drive to car park near Chrome Hill`s circular, so everything is in close distance to the site. As an added bonus there is pizza available on site on Fridays and fish and chips on Saturdays (cash only). Buxton town is just a short-ish walk from the camping site through the picturesque fields. Staff was very helpful and friendly. If I would have to summarise our stay in one sentence, I would say that Buxton Caravan Site is a hidden gem in the heart of the Peaks and you should give it a go and visit at the next given opportunity.
