Excellent Site For Cambridge

We really enjoyed our recent stay here. We had an open, sunny pitch. When you arrive, strictly after 1pm, they allow you in one at a time, on foot, to choose your pitch. This is because most of the pitches are down blind alleys. Once you have chosen and told the wardens, the next person is allowed in. This process seemed to work very well and wasn't as slow as you might think. The wardens were very accommodating and allowed us to park our motorhome as we wished (we were on a pitch which was not really near anyone else). It's only 5 minutes walk to the bus stop- info on buses is helpfully printed on the back of the site plan. In the local pub, The Robin Hood (5 stars for food hygiene) we had a good meal, with good service. We were advised to book, even though it was a Wednesday. It was busy so we were glad we did. There is an interesting 20 minute or so walk around two very different parts of the old quarry, which is now a nature reserve. We will definitely return here.
