Our first stay at Camelford

This was our first stay at Camelford and we had a nice stay but facilities could have been better. The shower block is old but kept clean. We did not use the shower block because of Covid 19, we used our own facilities. What we found annoying was that there was only one chemical waste facility based at the end of the shower block, none at any of the service points. Also no bins at the service points, you had to walk up to the shower to a bin compound for recycling and general waste. When we arrived there had been a lot of rain so all the grass pitches were churned up, so people were trying to get hard standing pitches. There are only thirteen hard standing pitches and we were lucky to get one. Pitch moving seemed to happen every day as motor homes were struggle o the grass pitches. We had lovely views of sunset whilst there and lovely weather but I don’t think we would stay there again. The assistant warden worked really hard helping motor homes get off wet pitches and cleaning up mole hills.
