Spent 3 nights at Carsington and was very impressed as our first visit to the area. Site excellent and a warm welcome from the lady at the reception. Very clean and tidy. Ideal for walking with our Golden Retreiver as there are several good scenic walks which vary in distance (map available for a small fee at reception)also the dog walk circles the whole site, so you are never far from an entrance to the wooded area. The Lake is beautiful and the visitors centre a leisurely stroll away, is a great place to visit for a picnic, coffee or a meal at the restaurant, with one or two retail shops in the centre to have a wander round. Will definitely visit many times in the future as not far from home for tranquil weekends away. Set in a lovely pine forest this site is a gem of a find.
