2nd visit to Cayton Village

I reviewed this site last May after our 1st visit (review below) our 2nd visit was equally pleasing, this time we chose the higher section of the site on a serviced pitch (no availability of premium pitches) which was more than adequate for our needs, I have absolutely nothing negative to report on this site, the Wardens friendly & hard working, the facilities second to none, yes there are site rules which are common sense & there for a reason (like the 5mph on site & uncoiling the 240v lead to prevent overheating, safety must come first) nothing over strict, these rules pay off & make Cayton Village an absolute pleasure. The adjacent building site only affects a small section of the lower area possibly 12 pitches out of the 227, it looks like most of the housing is complete elsewhere so little noise. We stayed here for 7 nights and wished we could have stayed for longer! We were greeted with friendly smiles and helpful advice from the wardens, we booked a premium pitch and chose the lower section of the park which was well worth the extra money, lovely and quiet & well away from the building site noise (beyond CMC control) which affects one corner of the site, the wardens warned of this on arrival. Overall the park was spotlessly clean and well kept which is full credit to the staff who work tirelessly to keep it this way. Really impressed with all the facilities, all brand new and built to a very high standard . Perfectly placed for visiting Scarborough, Filey & Whitby. The dog walk around the site was perfect, fenced off and secure for off lead walking, bins at both gates & mulch laid underfoot. We'll definitely visit again, thanks CMC spot on.
