Has so much potential....

Our second visit to the site and probably our last. We arrived 30 minutes early (with a flat tyre, there was nowhere to stop on the approach so made my way to the site) and the warden was instantly saying 'you are early, you can not be here, you MUST move'. After about 10 mins of discussions, the warden finally admitted it would be dangerous to send us back out onto the road with a flat, but still made us wait until 13:00 before we could check in. No offer of help with the tyre, no help locating a local garage to do a repair. The pitch we selected was a good size and level but we did notice several vans needed leveling blocks across the axle to get level (not great for a site that was re-developed 3 years ago). During our stay the wardens were OK but seemed to have an obsession with grass cutting, in our 9 day stay they cut the grass around our pitch 3 times! each time involving 2 ride-on cutters, a petrol push mower, and a petrol strimmer (hence my 2 stars for peace and quiet). The toilet blocks are large but the standard of cleaning was poor, I pointed out some mud and stains on the walls (after they had been there 3 days) and the warden was not impressed with me, after that, we did not even get a good morning. Like most club sites there is no wifi even though the facilities list shows there is (except at reception, and this was poor. Note - I do not see wifi at reception only as 'wifi on site'). Such a shame as the location is great and once the young trees grow (why they cut down the old large trees during re-development is beyond me) to provide some shade, and the wifi is sorted the site has the potential to be great. Local bus runs stop right at the entrance, shops close by and some excellent pubs in the village.
