Return Visit, after the Refurbishment

We first visited this site not long after the Club acquired it. We enjoyed our stay then so thought we should make a return visit. We were not disappointed. The site is in two sections, the Main site around the reception area and the Upper site. Most of the refurbishment work seems to have been done on the Main site which now looks like a CMC site. This section also includes a good selection of "Experience Freedom" static accommodation. Both sections have completely rebuilt toilet/shower block both with open grill motorhome waste points. If I were to be a bit picky I would say that there are not enough service points, certainly on the main site. Another area of disappointment was that the electric bollards don't have a TV booster connection as we found the signal via our roof top aerial not always very good. I seem to recall that the upper section did have co-ax connectors but these have since been removed, which is a shame. No WiFi currently other than a hotspot which you can use in the Games/TV Room. 4G where were pitched was a bit hit and miss but we managed. Nice to see a good site shop. The village of Cayton is a short stroll from the site and there are a couple of shops, a couple of pubs and a Fish and Chip shop. Also there is a good bus service from right outside the site to both Scarborough and Filey/Bridlington. If you are fit enough you can also walk to the beach which is about a mile away.
