I had read a couple of reviews before coming, we booked before we knew it was going to be a club site. All I can say is some people haven’t stayed in some of the sites I have, this site was very good in my opinion. We stayed from 23/04 to 03/05. Yes some of the original pitches could be considered a little on the small side but we stayed on The Laurals pitches which I think are newer. They are fully serviced hard standing with loads of room for van awning and car, you also get a large grass area adjacent to the hard standing. The toilet blocks were good, very clean and yes possibly could do with a refresh in the older areas of the site but they have sufficient toilets and showers, plenty of hot water and separate washing and laundry areas. The grounds are well maintained and exceptionally clean and it was very peaceful during our stay. Security is good with auto number plate recognition for entry. The site roads are made from compacted road planings but at 5mph you don’t need the smoothness of a motorway. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending this site and if you don’t find it satisfactory perhaps I could recommend a good hotel as an alternative.
